Michael Thank you so much for that info. I really think its going to help me in my life and career, because until i read what you had said i did blame others for me being stuck in the same spot since i started working here which was right out of college.. So right after i read that i went up to my boss and told her i wanted to know what jobs would be opening. I know we are about to merge so that means openings like crazy.. She looked at me and said well Bobby you have been here 3 years and you are way over due for moving up, and that she is contacting corp. and going to see what she can do about getting me the job i would like.. Now Michael before i read this i would come into work and be like omg when am i going to move up within the company i never thought about me actually coming out and saying hey i want to do more.. so me speaking up actually worked.. thank you so much again..

It's called being an AUTODIDACT. And it's harder than hell to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some autodidacts make it; some don't. Those that do--they succeed beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Those that don't....they wind up in the gutter. Just noting reality here....Just noting..... Because if someone is going to make it "on their own," they had damn well be prepared for a ride through life that is, at some point in their journey, far more difficult than anything a "regular" ride would ever put them through. Just noting....just throwing in a realilty check.... Keep on with your POSITIVE attitude, Michael. It's always most inspiring.....

Thanks for this blog Michael. i found it very inspiring. I'm really enjoying a few "self-help" books right now and I'm getting much better at the "Can Do" attitude. Being recently divorced and now a student, I feel I'm at the beginning of a new chapter in my life and I'm really trying to grab that bull by the horns--so to speak. I wish you could've let us know somehow what free book you're talking about. I would have loved to read it! :-)
